The PA State Membership Committee is attempting to provide all Lodges in our State a Membership tool to encourage new member participation. It is our goal to produce a visual program, to be presented, in addition to the one distributed by the BPOE Grand Lodge. This program will be for PA Elks Lodges only, giving information concerning the various projects we conduct in our State, as well as to provide the social aspects of our Lodges, encouraging new Members to not only join; but get involved.
We are asking each District Membership Chairman to contact their prospective Lodges, asking them to provide the committee with digital pictures on a CD for review by the committee. Pictures might include The Home Service Program, Veteran’s Service, any Youth Activity, The Drug Awareness Program, or any project unique to their Lodge. Also pictures of social events at their Lodge. This will show prospective members that while we do good deeds we also know how to have fun. Also include pictures of a special feature of their Lodge, such as a golf course, lunches or dinner and interior pictures to enable new members to see what is available as they travel throughout Pennsylvania.
The committee is arranging to have the final product professionally done, with background music and narration. The Membership Committee’s goal is to present the CD at the PA State Convention 2009. Please have your CD’s to the committee by January 13, 2009, if you wish your Lodge to be included.
