NOTE: On Friday morning, May 25th, the Incoming President's Demonstration will be held at approximately 11:10am. The theme of this demonstration will be "Police" as the incoming president is a police officer. If you would like, you can dress as an "officer", dark pants, white shirt and a visor or ballcap ("police" bands will be provided for your hats) or you can dress as a "robber", jeans, dark shirt and bandana. Badges, plastic water guns (PLEASE, NO METAL TOY GUNS), etc. will be provided along with things to pass out. You are NOT required to dress-up to participate. PLEASE COME OUT AND SUPPORT YOUR NEW PRESIDENT. We will be meeting at approximately 10:00am in the hallway outside the convention business meeting room (consult your convention itinerary for the name of the meeting room). I know this seems alittle early, but we want to be ready in case we are called upon early like we were last year. If you have any appropriate props in line with the "police" theme that you would like to share, please feel free to bring them along. AGAIN, PLEASE NO METAL TOY GUNS, plastic water guns only. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call at 724-857-3433. I look forward to seeing everyone at convention. Thanks, Sherry Chaousis, Wife of James D. NOTE: This year's State Elks Home Service Program Poster Children, clients of Elks Nurse Karen McKalips, RN, are Alan and John Kunig, the twin sons of Andrea Murray and Glenn Kunig. Karen McKalips was able to obtain the nursing care needed by the family and this allowed his mother to get much needed rest to take care of two other children. A special formula was also found for Alan and their tiny bodies are getting stronger every day. Through much love and support, as well as the financial help of all Pennsylvania Elk members, they have made significant progress, more than even the doctors expected. Even though they were both so tiny you could hold them in your hand, they had a huge will to live. It wasn’t in the size of the child but in the determination in the heart that made these little boys fight to survive. Remember the Kunig story when it comes time to make that donation to the Pennsylvania Elks Major Projects --- it works in every community in the Commonwealth, thanks to YOU!
