2008-2009 State Pin
Cost: $2.00

![]()
Mid Year
Report to Convention at Gettysburg
The 2008
State pin was received in April and is available for sale for $2.00 each. Sales
have been pretty good. Of the 1000 pins we ordered we have sold 796 to
date. This is a profit of $462.20 that
was turned into the State Association. This is less than last year but we
decreased the amount we charged for the pin from $3.00 to $2.00. We did this
hoping to increase sales and it did. We have sold 157 more pins this year
compared to last years pin sales. As
long as the cost of the pins does not increase dramatically we will hold the
price of next year’s pin at $2.00.
Older pins are
still available for sale out in the lobby. The cost of these pins is $1.00 or
$.25 for any part of the four part pins. Two of our pins are now sold out, part
3 of the 4 part pin and 2003-2004 Flight 93 pin. We have available 509
2002-2003 Liberty pin, 91 2004-2005 Keystone pin, 53 2005-2006 Vacant Chair
pin, 357 2006-2007 Anniversary pin 327 2007-2008 Liberty Bell pin and 2001-2002
4 part pin we have 98 part l, 471 part 2 and 272 part 4.
The Augusta
Green Blazer is still available from the Northeast Uniform and Equipment for
$99.00 and $110.00 for size 48 and up. Also it is available from Davan Apparel
for $110.00 up to size 50 and Ladies up to size 20. Sized over 50 for men and
over size 20 for women is $120.00. You can see any member of the State Association
to obtain order forms.
We will
again be sponsoring another pin design contest for the 2008-2009 year. All
Lodges are welcome and encouraged to submit their entries. I ask that they be
submitted to their District Chairperson or directly to me. They need to be
received by me no later than November 17, 2008. Our State Vice-President,
Eugene Slesinski will choose the winning design. The winner will receive a
plaque at the Spring Convention and all other contestants will receive a
certification acknowledging their participation.
This
concludes my report
Fraternally,
Mark W. Hutson, Chairman of

Subject: PESA Lodges Designated Email Address
Objective:
That we get from each Lodge
in PA one designated email address to be used by The State Secretary’s Office,
State Committee Chairpersons and other Elks who are in need of communicating
with members of the Order but have no email contact for them.
The email list on the PESA
web site will be amended to show who this designated contact is. www.paelks.com/files/e-mail.htm
First choice for each Lodge
is the Secretary, second choice the ER and if neither has email the third
choice is another Lodge Officer.
There is no need to contact
me or Dave Pular, sgtpepr10@hotmail.com
,if the Secretary is already listed, all other Lodges are requested to forward
their Secretary’s email, if he has none the ER’s and if he also has none
another officers email, to Dave Pular with a copy to myself.
